More Updates for Home Network Security

Home Network Security’s 1.6 update provides families with upgraded protection, YouTube filtering, Google search filtering, and more!

Filter inappropriate YouTube videos

Concerned about your children accidentally being exposed to inappropriate content while watching YouTube videos? YouTube offers Restricted Mode to help reduce the chance your child will see inappropriate content.

In this latest release, Trend MicroTM Home Network Security (HNS) gives parents the ability to turn on YouTube Restricted Mode by family member, whichever devices the family member is using, and whether the family member is using a browser or an app.

To turn on Content Filtering for YouTube:

• Go to the profile of the selected family member and tap Filtering
• Scroll to the Content section towards the bottom of the page
• Enable Turn on YouTube Restricted Mode

Filter explicit or inappropriate Google search results

Worried about your children being provided links to inappropriate content when using Google search? Google has SafeSearch to block explicit results from appearing in search results.

HNS now gives parents the ability to turn on Google SafeSearch by family member, whichever devices the family member is using, and whether the family member is using a browser or an app.

To turn on Content Filtering for Google search:

• Go to the profile of the selected family member and tap Filtering
• Scroll to the Content section towards the bottom of the page
• Enable Turn on Google SafeSearch

Notification Badge Alerts You to Updates
